Little Polynesia Market & Hot Food is...
...family owned and operated.
…a place for great authentic Polynesian cuisine.
…a Polynesian market offering hard to get items from the South Pacific.
…a world class concept store.
We started out in 2004 selling fresh fish and koko Samoa out of our home. My husband worked for an airline and we would fly to the coastal regions to bring fresh fish back to Utah. We became known as the "people with the coolers." We didn't have very much money to start out with, we have learned to become frugal. By 2005 we decided to open up a place where we could cook Polynesian food and sell more items. Tupea Imports was born in November 2005 and we have been in the business ever since going through growing pains, name changes (Tupea Imports, Tupea's Polynesian Market, Little Polynesia Market & Hot Food), and have had three location changes as the business has grown.
Despite all the growing pains, whether for better or for worse; we have always remained committed to our customers and have made it our mission to bring the best of Polynesian products and hot food to the USA. We pride ourselves in being honest in our dealings with people in everything we do. We believe in hard work, education, training, and the pursuit of the American dream. As devout Latter-day Saints we have been inspired by the 13th article of faith:
We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.
